They’re elected and can help on a number of local issues, such as  providing:

bus shelters

play areas and play equipment

grants to help local organisations

consultation on neighbourhood planning

They also have the power to issue various fixed penalty fines.

The parish of Threshfield is located within the Yorkshire Dales National Park

Threshfield Parish Council meets at Threshfield Institute at 7:30 every 6-8 weeks.
